Keep Christ in Christmas

In September of 2010, we were fortunate the Parish was celebrating its 100th Anniversary. This afforded us the opportunity to give the Parish a gift from the Knights; a Frazier Fir Tree to be planted in front of the Church. We invited the Bishop, and together with our Pastor, our gift received a blessing. This tree would be known as the “Keep Christ In Christmas” tree and each year in early December members of the Council would decorate this tree, followed by a Parish "Lighting of the Tree" event with singing of Christmas Carols and Holiday Deserts.

RSVP & Altar Server Recognition Programs

In October of 2010, we had a Vocations breakfast and invited seminarians from the Bishop White Seminary and Novices from Mary, Mother of the Church. Through generous donations, we were able to help one seminarian and one novitiate fulfill their calling. In January of 2011, we held our first Altar Server Recognition Breakfast for our Parish Altar Servers and their families. The Altar Servers received certificates and a hand-made cross fashioned by our very own Grand Knight.

Rosaries & Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

A rosary to Our Lady of Guadalupan Love was held in September of 2010, and in December of 2010 we conducted a Special Advent Rosary. In May of 2011 we held our third Rosary of the fraternal year to Mary our Lady of Charity. Knights also volunteer once a month sharing a 4-hour shift to sit in contemplative prayer for the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
