Coats for Kids
In September of 2010, we started our Coats for Kids Campaign. We weren't quite sure what organization we were going to give the coats to, but as it turned out we didn’t have to go more than a quarter mile down the street to where the 13 Churches in our area have a Resource Center to help those in need. Amazingly, we didn’t know much about it, but we soon adopted the center and its programs. We donated 70 new coats that we were able to purchase from funds raised at a donation breakfast. The outpouring from the Parish was great as we collected an additional 120 refurbished coats as well.

Wheelchair Campaign
In January of 2011, we held our first Wheelchair Sunday Donation Breakfast and our net proceeds were enough to allow us to purchase 10 Wheelchairs from American Wheelchair Mission. We distributed Wheelchairs to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Catholic Charities of Spokane, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 51 of Spokane.

Food Sunday Program & North County Food Pantry
In November of 2010, we started our Food Sunday Program, and during the next five months collected food in excess of 5,000 lbs. This earned the Food Pantry a $7,500 credit with the Second Harvest Food Bank which was used to purchase additional food for the pantry. In December we delivered our Food Sunday contributions to the Food Pantry and discovered the need for some major renovations with their building. So, in January we started planning this renovation. In March we renovated several rooms at the two car extended garage they were using as a Food Pantry to make a "Cool Room" for their produce. Prior to this they could only keep produce for a limited time as it would spoil. We renovated a Storage Room and replaced a two car garage door, which had served as the main entry door and remained open all winter long, with two 3-foot wide doors allowing them to keep the Pantry warm in the winter and allowing volunteers to work without their coats and gloves on. The collection of food and the renovation of the Food Pantry earned our Council the State Community Service Program Award for 2010-2011.

New Hope Resource Center
In February of 2011, we cut and split a logging truck load of wood for the New Hope Resource Center down the street. Our efforts during two separate weekends allowed many of their clients the comfort of keeping warm during the cold winter months.

Sprague Lake Rest Stop Cookies and Coffee
In July of each year, we man the Sprague Lake Rest Stop on Interstate 90, providing cookies and coffee, along with lemonade and other assorted goodies, to weary travelers. Our wives donate their time and talent in baking the over 200 dozen cookies needed for this fundraising event. Donations are taken and the net proceeds go towards various council activities throughout the year.
VA Hospital Visitations and Blood Drives
Many of our members volunteer their time regularly at the local VA Hospital, visiting the many veterans who's sacrifices have given us the freedoms we have today.
Periodically we hold Blood Drives during Sunday Mass times so Knights and Parishioners can donate that life saving substance to those in need.
