Liturgical Ministry
Liturgical Ministers are vital to the function of a healthy Church. Liturgy, the work of the people, is dependent on so much more than just the priest. We rely on the involvement of many members of the community each weekend to ensure a joyful celebration of the Paschal mystery. Some of these ministries include:
Sacristans care for the sacred spaces, vessels, and prepare everything we need to celebrate Mass. They also help ensure that all our ministers are present for the liturgy.
Eucharistic Ministers are people commissioned to distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at Mass. Catholics who are 16 years of age and older, have been baptized and confirmed, are welcome to join this very special ministry. This is a beautiful and vibrant way of celebrating the presence of Christ among us.
Lectors proclaim the Word of God at Mass. If you have good public speaking abilities, this is an ideal way for you to serve the community.
Ushers help with seating, the flow of parishioners to Communion, and in many other behind the scene capacities.
We make a quarterly schedule for all our ministries based on your availability. Please email stjoseph@cet.co
