- To pray together, to nurture faith, and to reflect on the gospels.
- To be a sign of a truly Christian community before the church and the world.
- To assure, through its ministries, a continuous and integrated survey of both spiritual and temporal needs of the parish, community, and diocese; after setting priorities, to develop and implement programs aimed at meeting these needs.
- To serve as a permanent structure for constructive dialogue among staff and laity of the parish, and with the Bishop, so that they can work in close cooperation as a truly Christian community, in fulfilling Christ's saving mission.
- To provide the parish ministries with leadership, direction, education, resources and encouragement in accordance with the constant and continuous goals of the parish.
- To identify, support, and maximize the gifts and talents of all the members of the parish.
- To annually review and update, if needed, the parish mission statement and parish goals.
